Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required.
Sonography Canada (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference for RVT/CRVS or eligibility within six months.
Candidates with ARDMS certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment.
Facilitate provision of optimal patient care, observing hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Provide radiologists with high quality imaging and preliminary impressions; discuss findings when necessary.
Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.
