Job description

Our client is currently hiring a full-time Ultrasound Manager to join a growing healthcare team focused on women's health, reproductive medicine, fertility care, and diagnostic imaging in Burlington, ON.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced highly skilled sonographer with expertise in OB/GYN ultrasound, transvaginal imaging, fertility monitoring, sonohysterography, and reproductive health imaging. In this role, you will combine hands-on clinical responsibilities with departmental leadership, helping ensure exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency.

You will play a key role in supporting physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams while maintaining the highest standards of diagnostic imaging, quality assurance, and patient experience.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Ultrasound Services
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including Pelvic Ultrasound, Transvaginal Ultrasound, Obstetrical Ultrasound, Scrotal Ultrasound, Sonohysterography, Fertility and Reproductive Imaging
  • Conduct follicular monitoring and support fertility treatment programs.
  • Accurately document imaging findings and patient information.
  • Provide preliminary observations and communicate relevant findings to physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and procedural imaging activities.
  • Ensure patient comfort while maintaining exceptional standards of care and professionalism.
  • Maintain quality control procedures and ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Adhere to all clinic, regulatory, and professional practice standards.
Department Leadership & Operations
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the ultrasound department.
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained across all ultrasound services.
  • Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of ultrasound supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support staff training, onboarding, mentoring, and workflow optimization initiatives.
  • Foster positive collaboration among physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in resolving patient concerns and support service excellence initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and best practices within the department.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Active registration and membership in good standing with CMRITO.
  • Current ARDMS and/or Sonography Canada (CARDUP) credentials in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Physics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Extensive experience performing transvaginal ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong experience in women's health, fertility, reproductive medicine, or OB/GYN imaging.
  • Proficiency with Color Doppler Imaging, Sonohysterography, 3D Ultrasound, Infertility and Reproductive Imaging
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or departmental coordination experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
