Who We're Looking For:

As a UI/UX Design Contractor, you will play a role in defining and enhancing the visual identity and user experience of Fintel Connect’s brand and digital products. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving high-quality design concepts, systems, and creative assets across Fintel Connect’s marketing channels and applications to ensure a cohesive and engaging brand experience. This is a contracting opportunity suited for a creative, detail-oriented professional. We are looking for contractor to work up to 20hrs per week on a 6-month contract.

Core Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain sustainable design systems for Fintel Connect applications and products, including reusable UI components and assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements, map user journeys, and translate business goals into engaging user experiences.
• Design and prototype user interfaces for web SaaS applications, focusing on usability, accessibility, and consistency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, UI components, and style guides to ensure a cohesive product experience and efficient development workflows.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate on and improve design solutions.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback throughout the design and development process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX and SaaS design.
• Work collaboratively with developers to ensure high-quality implementation of design specifications.
• Maintain organized brand guidelines and an accessible asset library for use throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of design experience, including a portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects and graphic design work.
• Experience as a contractor
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or similar platforms.
• Experience developing and maintain design systems.
• Strong understanding of web design principles and user-centered design for print and digital across various mediums.
• Willingness to explore industry trends in technology and design with the entire development team
• Familiarity with information architecture and interaction design.
• If not already proficient, willingness gain knowledge of CSS and HTML for design purposes.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time, with competing deadlines.
