Position: UI Designer (Approximately 12 months contract)

Location: 260 Richmond Street West

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required

Are you a creative and driven UI Designer with a passion for movies and TV? Curious by nature and not afraid to ask questions? Do you have an eye for visual design and care about the details? Self-starter and highly organized? Join our Entertainment Design team to innovate, develop, and implement strategies across platforms and products, enhancing user experiences for streaming video, personalization, and discoverability for our SVOD and AVOD products (Crave, CTV, and Noovo).

Reporting to the Senior Manager UX/UI, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product design process—from researching, designing concepts, creating high-fidelity mockups, presenting ideas, to handing off documented designs to development and stakeholders, delivering value to users and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Translate business problems into modern and unique digital experiences
2. Create mockups for responsive websites and digital platforms
3. Develop and maintain our brand’s design system
4. Explore and generate multiple design concepts
5. Collaborate with UX research and product strategy teams
6. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines
7. Work closely with development and product teams to solve problems
8. Document design work and facilitate hand-offs to developers

Qualifications

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating artistic aptitude, design principles, and theory knowledge
• Excellent typography and composition skills
• Proficiency in Design software (XD, Sketch, Figma)
• Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of UX principles, user testing, and prototyping is an asset
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional design experience
• Design education from a post-secondary institution is valued but not mandatory; experience counts

Additional information includes the position being unionized, temporary full-time, located in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring reporting to a Bell office at least 3 days a week.
