Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking a part-time Tutor in McKenzie Towne, AB. You will foster a supportive learning environment, implement the Read With Me program, and guide children to build social and academic skills.

You will plan lessons, track progress, and partner with families to discuss outcomes, while supporting diverse learners in our busy childcare community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of provincial school curriculums and outcomes for students at various grade levels.
• Up-to-date knowledge of learning theories, techniques and resources.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement the BrightPath Read With Me program.
• Work with students to improve their skills in certain subjects.
• Plan and prepare lessons for students.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate children to reach their goals.
• Evaluate students' progress and discuss results with families.
• All other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As a Tutor, you will foster a supportive learning environment where children can collaborate with their peers, share experiences and build social skills. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding and implementing the BrightPath Read With Me program.
• Working with students to improve their skills in certain subjects.
• Planning and preparing lessons for students.
• Engaging, encouraging, and motivating children to reach their goals.
• Evaluating students' progress and discussing results with families.
• All other duties as assigned.
