Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a diligent laborer to contribute to our wood product assembly line. You will assemble window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels, while sorting, packing and weighing items to ensure quality.

You will also assist operators and maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced plant environment. Applicants should be able to work day or night shifts, wear steel-toed boots, and be comfortable standing for long periods.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral communication is essential for clear interaction with team members and supervisors.
  • Team player able to collaborate in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels.
  • Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
  • Perform other labouring and elemental activities as required.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Check and weigh materials and products for accuracy.
  • Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers to complete tasks.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually.
