The Municipal Group of Companies’ Equipment and Maintenance Team is seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic, based out of Lower Sackville, to diagnose faults, repair and maintain transport truck and trailer systems, and ensure safety and compliance. Responsabilités

• Diagnose faults and malfunctions within transport truck and trailer systems and determine repairs or part replacements.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck and trailer systems.
• Test repaired systems to ensure performance per manufacturer specifications.
• Complete reports recording problems and work performed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
• Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Municipal Group of Companies’ Equipment and Maintenance Team oversees the maintenance, compliance, and operational integrity of one of Eastern Canada’s most diverse equipment fleets. Through a network of more than 25 maintenance shops, our teams deliver standardized service processes, asset management support, and technical expertise across all operating divisions. Our work is executed by qualified trades professionals and supported by formalized training, certification, and career development systems. We are currently seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic, based out of Lower Sackville, to join our team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and malfunctions within transport truck and truck trailer systems and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace parts and/or components.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of transport truck and truck trailer systems.
• Test repaired systems to ensure performance within manufacturer's specifications.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

• Interprovincial Red Seal T&TM Certificate or Registered Apprentice.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Working safely is a condition of employment.
