Job summary

Top Gear Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd is seeking a skilled truck and trailer mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance at our Headingley, MB location. Responsibilities include inspecting mechanical units, replacing components, estimating parts and labor, and advising customers on future repairs.

A Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification is required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate completed.
• 1 year to less than 2 years experience in vehicle mechanical repair.
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Test and adjust units to specifications.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
