Job summary

Clearwater Structures Inc. in Bowmanville is seeking a skilled automotive technician to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines and truck-trailer systems. You will perform scheduled maintenance, estimate parts and labor, and document findings and actions taken to manufacturer specifications.

On-site work is required with no remote option; candidates should have a trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience and 3–5 years of related work. Benefits include health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
• Educational certificate or diploma in a trades field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Test and adjust units to specifications.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
