Grimshaw Trucking LP seeks a permanent full-time Truck-Trailer Driver for their High-Level Terminal. Grimshaw Trucking LP is looking to hire 1 Truck-Trailer Driver (TEER Code73300) on a permanent full-time basis for their High-Level Terminal.

Number of hours- 40-50 hours per week.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Previous driving experience an asset.
Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100lbs)
Own tools/ Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, team player
Certificates, licenses, memberships and courses: Driver’s License (Class 1or A)

Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver Logbook, Inspection report(pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trip reports
Job Duties:
1. Address customers’ complaints or concerns
3. Professionalism in customer service
4. Arrange travel related itineraries and make reservations
5. Drive as part of a two person team or convoy
7. Load and unload goods
8. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
9. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
10. Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
11. Perform preventive maintenance
12. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
13. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
14. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving Record check (abstract),drug test, medical exam.
