Truck Mechanic

Location: 142-2002 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1W4

Salary: $34.50/hour, 36 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Test automotive systems and components
• Estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance services
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs
• Complete reports documenting problems and repairs
• Coach and instruct apprentices

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
