Qualifications

Job Description

Join our team: We are seeking a Mechanic, Auto to support our Seabee Gold Operation in Saskatchewan. The role involves providing mechanical support for underground and surface operations, troubleshooting, and repairing light duty vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out projects within budget and time constraints.
• Repair mechanical equipment timely and responsibly.
• Interpret work orders and manuals.
• Maintain, repair, and overhaul light duty equipment.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment for faults.
• Determine repair needs and execute repairs or replacements.
• Test equipment post-repair.
• Perform maintenance tasks like cleaning and lubricating.
• Provide guidance and training to team members.
• Forecast parts needs and suggest improvements.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose vehicle problems independently.
• Physical and mental fitness for underground work if required.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Education and Experience

Must have a Journeyperson Automotive Certificate and at least 5 years of experience.

Working Conditions

Two-week rotation at our remote camp with fly-in/fly-out options from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
