American Iron & Metal (AIM) is hiring a Truck Mechanic for our Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec site. This eveningshift role runs Monday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 1:30 AM, with premium pay for the shift.

You will diagnose, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment, perform inspections, address hydraulic/electrical/pneumatic issues, keep records, and collaborate with other departments to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.
• PEP card.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.
• Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of OHS standards and safety protocols.

Responsabilités

We are currently looking for a Truck Mechanic to join our team in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. This is an eveningshift position, Monday to Thursday, from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

The truck mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of mobile equipment such as trucks and trailers, including their upkeep, repair, and refurbishment.

What you’re responsible for:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective inspections according to company standards.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations

Qualifications

• Training: DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.
• Requirement: PEP card.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Computer Skills: Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.
• Driver’s License
• Safety: Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Information

• Permanent full-time position
• Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday – 2:30 PM to 1:30 AM
• Premium for the evening shift
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
