Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee vehicle maintenance
  • Load and unload goods
  • Address customer complaints or concerns
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption
  • Receive and relay information to dispatch
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Knowledge of accident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, and trans-border documentation
Travel & Work Conditions
  • Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, overnight, and for extended periods
  • Physically demanding with handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
