Job summary

S.T ALI INVESTMENTS LTD. in Canada (White Rock, BC) is seeking a permanent full-time driver responsible for planning routes, ensuring safety, and transporting goods while maintaining accurate logs.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, handle hazardous materials, and coordinate with dispatch in English. The role requires Class 1 or A licence with air brakes endorsement, and a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Plan or adjust routes to minimize fuel use and emissions.
• Maintain professionalism in customer service.
• Inspect vehicle and equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Provide professional customer service while handling deliveries and routes.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and ensure overall vehicle readiness.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch and ensure timely cargo information updates.

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
