Job summary

EFL Transport Inc. in Canada seeks a professional truck driver to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load and unload cargo, and coordinate with central dispatch in a fast-paced highway network.

The role requires an Air Brakes Endorsement and a Class 1/A license; this is a permanent, full-time position with 50 hours per week on the road.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
• Valid Class 1/A license with Air Brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of trucking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy and maintain safety.
• Load and unload goods and tarp cargo as required.
• Inspect and oversee vehicle condition, tires, lights, and brakes.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and coordinate with dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Provide routine maintenance and emergency roadside repairs when needed.
