Job summary

LTS LOGISTICS is seeking a reliable driver to operate straight and articulated trucks in Victoria, BC. The role requires loading and unloading cargo, conducting basic vehicle inspections, and communicating with the central dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent experience and a valid Class 1 or A license. This is an on-site position with duties focused on safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or A) required.
• On-site work at the Victoria, BC location.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption.
