Job summary

Six Axle Transportation Ltd. recherche un conducteur routier pour assurer le transport longue distance de marchandises à travers le Canada. Vous serez responsable des inspections et du maintien de la sécurité du véhicule.

Le candidat idéal possède une licence Classe 1/1F/A et une formation en conduite défensive, avec une capacité à travailler sur divers sites et à gérer des charges lourdes.

Qualifications

• Diplôme d'études secondaires requis.
• Licence Classe 1/1F/A (semi-remorques) exigée.
• Formation de conduite défensive recommandée.

Responsibilities

• Conduire des camions lourds, simples ou articulés pour transporter des marchandises.
• Effectuer les inspections pré-voyage, en route et post-voyage et superviser l'état du véhicule.
• Surveiller l'état du véhicule et inspecter pneus, feux et freins.
• Étailler et sécuriser la cargaison pour le transport.
• Enregistrer informations cargaison, heures de service, distance parcourue et consommation de carburant.
• Recevoir et transmettre les informations au central de dispatch.
• Effectuer les réglages des freins.

• Mountain driving expertise
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
