Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Address customer complaints or concerns
- Arrange travel, itineraries, and reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods
- Obtain permits and documents for international cargo transport
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and equipment
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Communicate with dispatch
- Record cargo info, hours, distance, fuel consumption
- Ensure cargo safety and security, including tarping and handling dangerous goods
