Work schedule: Tuesday to Friday, starting at 5:00 a.m.

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery drivers play a vital role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure timely and safe delivery of products and serve as the face of our company, building lasting customer relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

The driver is responsible for operating vehicles on local and national routes, including over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes, to deliver and unload food and related products safely and efficiently.

Key duties include:

1. Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
2. Maintaining electronic driving logs.
3. Driving to destinations as per the manifest, complying with all laws and regulations.
4. Communicating with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
5. Checking in with customers and representing our company positively.
6. Unloading and delivering products as directed.
7. Assisting customer service and buyers as needed.
8. Processing credits and payments according to guidelines.
9. Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Class 1 Driver’s License
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
• Must be 18+ years old
• Meet provincial licensing and certification requirements
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
• Criminal background check clearance
• Road test pass
• Ability to lift and handle product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds, using equipment as needed
