Job summary

Enns Brothers Limited is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for our Winnipeg West location. This casual on-call role transports equipment, parts and supplies across Manitoba with occasional Saskatchewan trips.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing loads, pre/post-trip inspections, and maintaining records. A forklift license and clean Manitoba Class 1 license are required, with in-house training available for the forklift.

Qualifications

  • Forklift license (in-house training provided)
  • Experience with flat decks, tractor-trailer (over-dimension) and whole-goods transport
  • Ability to drive agricultural equipment on/off trailer
  • Familiar with Manitoba highway regulations
  • Safe loading, offloading, tie-downs and securing dimensional loads

Responsibilities

  • Transport heavy/wide loads to/from customers and between branches
  • Transport new and used equipment, parts and supplies as required
  • Load and unload large agricultural equipment
  • Block and secure loads for safe transport
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Identify and report safety/mechanical issues promptly
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Periodic operation of a forklift
  • Maintain pickup/delivery records
  • Maintain certifications per Highways Regulations and company policy
  • Provide professional customer service and maintain a safe work environment

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for at our Winnipeg West location. This position will be on a casual on call basis.

In this role you will safely and efficiently transport new and used equipment, parts and supplies to and from customers and/or between branches and dealer facilities. This position will drive primarily in Manitoba with the potential for occasional trips to Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities
  • Transporting heavy/wide loads to and from customers and between branches
  • Transporting new and used equipment, parts and supplies as required
  • Load and unload large agricultural equipment
  • Block and secure loads to ensure safe transport
  • Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections
  • Promptly identify and report safety /mechanical issues
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Periodic operation of a forklift
  • Maintains records of pickups and deliveries
  • Maintains all required certifications in line with Highways Regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment following the guidelines of workplace health and safety and Enns Brothers
Required Skills
  • Forklift Operators license mandatory (provided through in-house training)
  • Experience with flat decks, tractor trailer (over dimension) and transporting of whole goods;
  • Ability to drive agricultural equipment on and off trailer;
  • Familiar with Manitoba highway regulations;
  • Safe transportation, loading and offloading, including using a spotter, center of gravity, leveling loads, tie down/blockage and securing of dimensional loads
Required Experience
  • 3+ years driving experience in all kinds of weather
  • Valid class 1 Manitoba license with clean abstract
