Job summary

STELVIO LOGISTICS LTD. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Truck Driver for a full-time, on-site position. Salary is $31.50 per hour, with 40 to 60 hours per week. Overtime and various shifts are required.

Permanent employment with two vacancies. English language required; education includes a high school graduation certificate. Responsibilities include driving as part of a two-person team, obtaining permits, inspecting vehicle condition, performing pre-trip to post-trip checks, and recording cargo

Qualifications

  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A).
  • English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Professionalism in customer service.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
