Tasks

1. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
2. Address customer complaints or concerns.
3. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
4. Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
5. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
6. Perform preventive maintenance.
7. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).

Security and Safety

• Bondable.

Experience

• 1 to less than 2 years.
• Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
