Position Summary

The Truck Driver is responsible to transport goods to and from designated locations safely and according to company policy and legal requirements.


Job Responsibilities
  1. Complete pre-inspections of the vehicle each day before operating the truck
  2. Responsible to document all inspections to ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order
  3. Report immediately to the Shipping Manager if there are any safety or environmental issues
  4. Drive AZ trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to and from designated locations
  5. Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and on time
  6. Safely secure loads on the truck for every delivery
  7. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while operating the vehicle
  8. Use the correct loading, unloading, and dumping procedures
  9. Minor truck maintenance may be required
  10. Keep the truck clean and in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to the Shipping Manager immediately
  11. Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and the public
  12. Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
Qualification Required
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Valid AZ license is required
  3. Minimum 3 years' experience as an AZ Driver is preferred
  4. Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations governing transportation of goods
  5. Must have a clean Drivers Abstract
  6. Must be able to drive a flatbed truck

Working Conditions
  1. Eight hour shift with flexibility required
  2. Long periods of driving required
  3. Exposure to loud noise and heat
  4. May be required to lift up to 50lbs
  5. Overtime as needed
