Oxford County is seeking a Truck & Backhoe Operator for the Winter Season in Springford. You will operate heavy equipment, support culvert and road maintenance, and perform winter control tasks as part of the Transportation department.

Reporting to the Roads Patrol Foreperson, this temporary full-time winter role runs from Nov 16 to April 2, with shifts 3pm-11:30pm, and requires a Class D license with Z endorsement. Applicants from CUPE are encouraged to apply.

Qualifikationen

• Previous construction/equipment operator experience is an asset.

POSITION SUMMARY

Operates a variety of heavy equipment and performs duties assigned by the Patrol Foreperson and Assistant Patrol Foreperson in conjunction with seasonal work plans including maintenance of culverts, roads, roadsides and safety devices. Performs winter control activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 10 or equivalent experience.
• Valid Class D license with Z endorsement is required.
• Previous construction/equipment operator experience or equivalent is an asset.
