Job summary

Mucci Farms Inc. in Kingsville, ON, is seeking an experienced Truck & Coach Technician for full-time, permanent work. The role involves repairing farm equipment, company vehicles, and trailers, performing routine maintenance, and conducting safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers and scan tools is an asset.
• Truck and Coach Certificate and/or currently in 2nd or 3rd year of Truck and Coach Apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of all Truck and Mechanic tools related to the trade.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose farm equipment, vehicles, trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and filter replacements.
• Conduct safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Replace defective parts and maintain maintenance records.
• Snow plowing, salting and removal when necessary.

Job description

Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-7 days a week (as required); which include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Repair and diagnose farm equipment, company vehicles, transport trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, lubricating, air and fuel filters.
• Conduct regular safety inspections on vehicles and equipment
• Replacement of any defective parts. Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
• Plowing, salting, and removal of snow will be required when necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Truck & Coach Technician
• Must be physically able to lift heavy material (i.e. up to 23 kg/50 lbs.)
• Knowledge of computers and scan tools is considered an asset
• Truck and Coach Certificate and/or currently in 2nd or 3rd year of Truck and Coach Apprenticeship
• Knowledge of all Truck and Mechanic tools related to the trade
• Ability to work independently or within a team setting
• Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with time sensitive deadlines and priorities

Physical Abilities:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
• Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
• Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.

The rate of pay for this position is $35 - $42 per hour
