Job summary

Handyman Connection in Kitchener/Waterloo is seeking an experienced finish carpenter to provide professional service to customers. You will trim, hang doors, install hardware, and frame interior walls.

This is an independent contractor role with a part-time, flexible schedule. You’ll work on your own terms while receiving support from a dedicated team and access to a mobile app to manage assignments in Southern Ontario.

Qualifications

• 5+ years remodeling or home repair experience.
• Driver's license & insurance.
• Own tools and vehicle.
• Pass screening process.
• WSIB registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requests, price projects, troubleshoot issues and present a work order.
• Install trims, hang doors and door hardware, and frame interior walls.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Design and construct decks and fences.
• Identify materials and quantities for new and existing projects.

We have an immediate need for a skilled finish carpenter providing a professional service to our customers. Trim, Doors, and hardware are the most common requests.

Job Summary

• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues and present a description of a work order to a customer.
• Installation of various trims, hang doors and door hardware, and framing of interior walls
• Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Design and construction of decks and fences
• Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

Job Requirements

• Driver's License and Insurance
• Your own tools, vehicle, and good references
• Experience in the remodeling or home repair trades (5+ years of direct experience)
• General Liability insurance (Preferred but not required)
• Must pass a screening process
• Must have a smartphone and access to the internet
• Registered with WSIB(Preferred but not required)
