ONroute is seeking a Janitor / Cleaner to uphold health and safety cleaning standards across our plazas along Highway 400/401 in Ontario. The role emphasizes disinfection of the plaza, equipment and spaces, with flexible hours and a supportive work environment.

Reliable transportation is required as plazas are located on major highways. Prior experience in food service or retail is a plus; a benefits plan is provided for full-time staff.

Mansioni

• Perform cleaning inside and outside the building.
• Disinfect restrooms and common areas; restock dispensers.

The Janitor / Cleaner is primarily a health and safety related position at ONroute to ensure that the required level of cleaning standards is maintained as well as disinfection of the plaza, equipment and overall space.

The job:

• New Position: No
• Backfill Position: Yes
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and outside the building
• Cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows
• Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals
• Picking up any trash and emptying the trash bins inside and outside
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Responding to employee or guest requests
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
• Performs additional duties as needed

Reliable transportation is required as our plazas are located on the 401/ 400 highways, and public transportation is not available.
