Job summary

FLINT, a leading Canadian energy and industrial services provider, seeks a Treasury Lead to drive cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and debt covenant compliance. You will oversee daily banking activities, prepare lender reports and support facility renewals, while mentoring a Co-op student and shaping treasury controls.

Ideal candidates hold a commerce degree with treasury or financial planning experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration or related field; CFA/CPA asset or in progress.
  • Experience in corporate treasury, financial planning or banking with strong reporting, budgeting and risk management.
  • Advanced Excel modelling, PowerPoint and financial software proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams across finance and operations.
  • Familiarity with global banking practices and strong communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead forecasting and analysis of cash flows and daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activity.
  • Maintain rolling cash forecast for liquidity planning and effective cash management.
  • Oversee compliance with debt financing agreements and covenant monitoring.
  • Prepare lender reports, support facility renewals and manage letters of credit.
  • Supervise a Co-op student handling day-to-day banking transactions.
  • Monitor bank fees and administer the organization’s credit card program.
  • Develop treasury policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Perform scenario analysis and assess impact on cash and liquidity.
  • Coordinate monthly borrowing base activities.

Job Description

As a Treasury Lead at FLINT, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s strategic cash management initiatives. This position is responsible for leading the forecasting and analysis of cash flows and payment activity on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. You will maintain a comprehensive rolling cash forecast to ensure effective corporate cash management and liquidity planning.

Additionally, this role will oversee the Company’s compliance with all debt financing agreements. This includes developing and maintaining financial forecasts to monitor and ensure ongoing adherence to all covenant requirements set by lenders.

What would you be doing?

  • Oversee daily cash position calculations and rolling forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity while minimizing idle funds.
  • Manage day-to-day cash transactions, including short-term investments, AP Payments, FX trades, EFTs, wire transfers, and bank account administration.
  • Prepare lender compliance reports, support credit facility renewals, and manage letters of credit execution.
  • Direct supervision and oversight of a Co-op student responsible for day-to-day banking transactions.
  • Monitor bank fees for cost-saving opportunities and administer the organization’s credit card program.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform scenario analysis and impact on cash and liquidity as required.
  • Coordination and completion of monthly borrowing base.

Qualifications
