Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team as a Treasury Analyst, Front Office.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Treasury, this position provides direct assistance and support to the OPG business units, focusing on treasury services and supporting treasury operations management. The role involves working within the Treasury to support reporting, research, and other activities to achieve the goals of the Corporate Treasury Group.

Key Accountabilities

1. Support all activities related to treasury operations, including liquidity management, short-term borrowing and investment, cash resources, banking relationships, counterparty credit, and management reporting.
2. Prepare ad-hoc reports as required to support treasury activities.
3. Assist with project financing, reporting, research, and other activities to meet division goals.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year university degree and a recognized accounting designation or professional designation such as CPA or CFA is a plus.
• Experience of 6 to 8 years in corporate financing and treasury functions.
• Experience in a financial management and accounting environment, familiar with treasury instruments, policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of economics, business policy, financial markets, and investment analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel, MS Access, and macros.

This position is temporarily based in Toronto, ON, until the move to OPG's new headquarters in Oshawa, ON, scheduled for Summer 2025.
