The Work

The incumbent is responsible for data management (extraction, validation, reporting) supporting Treasury functions such as hedge accounting, derivative valuations, and collateral management. Involvement in asset pricing model maintenance and ad-hoc projects is also expected.

The role is within the Treasury group, which manages risks including funding, liquidity, interest rate, market, and pricing risks. The team collaborates with various business units and finance to reflect activities in financial statements and impact the bank’s performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Hedge Accounting (30%)
• Support hedge accounting activities, develop strategies, models, and documentation, and support hedging activities related to compensation liabilities.
• Asset Pricing Model Support (30%)
• Support pricing models, manage assumption updates, improve documentation, and enhance models using VBA in Excel.
• Collateral Management (20%)
• Monitor derivative valuations, validate margin calls, automate data processes, and manage collateral reports.
• Other Departmental Support (20%)
• Prepare data for reports, assist with ad-hoc analysis, and support quarter-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, math, computer science, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with financial models, development preferred.
• Advanced Excel VBA and SQL skills; coding experience is an asset.
• CFA designation or candidate preferred.
• Understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and keen interest in financial markets.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
