Organizational Description: Valley Gardens Community Center is a growing recreational facility that offers programs, recreation, and drop-in opportunities to the members of its community. VGCC serves East Kildonan, North Kildonan, and Transcona areas.

Description of Duties:
Valley Gardens Community Centre is located in East Kildonan. This position requires previous experience as an executive member of a volunteer organization Board of Directors. Duties include overseeing the administration and securities of the centre. The treasurer works with the General Manager and the executive members of the Board of Directors to ensure appropriate use of funds. The treasurer prepares and monitors the annual budget. Attends executive and monthly board meetings; attends events in support of the Community Centre.
Skills Required:
Previous experience with bookkeeping and/or asset management is a benefit. Financial reporting, communication and management skills, budgeting, and attention to detail are essential.

Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours. Board meetings are conducted in the evenings. Some daytime and weekend communications will be required.
