Job summary

David Aplin Recruiting is seeking a Travelling Superintendent to lead large retail, warehouse and distribution projects across Western Canada. The role features a 10-days-on/4-days-off rotation, 15% travel uplift, and project values from $20M to $50M.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will oversee on-site operations, drive schedules, ensure safety and quality, and mentor site teams on multi-site assignments across Alberta and the Prairies with support from an experienced PM group.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as a Site Superintendent on light industrial retail projects
• Experience building warehouses, distribution centres, or food processing plants is a strong asset
• Strong safety record and commitment to safety on site
• Ability to travel extensively across Canada
• Ticketed trade certification is an asset
• Proficient using MS Project and MS Office Suite

About the Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Travelling Superintendent to manage large-scale projects across Canada with projects currently across Alberta and The Prairies, primarily within the retail, warehouse, and distribution sectors. Typical project values range from $20M to $50M, including big-box retail builds, logistics centers, and multi-acre site developments.

The role offers a 10-days-on / 4-days-off rotation, 15% travel uplift, $165/day per diem, and vehicle rental allowance. You’ll be supported by an experienced project management team and work on projects that challenge and grow your leadership abilities.

About the Position
