Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Merchandiser to cover interior BC including Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, Merritt, Penticton, and the South Okanagan. You will execute SmartStock programs, stock rotations, and plan-o-gram compliance while maintaining in-store merchandising standards.

This full-time position requires 100% travel to customer locations. You will report to the Sales Account Manager and receive a cell phone and vehicle allowance to support daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Reliable vehicle; gas card provided.
• Valid insurance for work.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read store plan-o-grams and set instructions.
• Experience with handheld inventory devices and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute the SmartStock program in stores.
• Set up and manage plan-o-grams and product displays.
• Rotate stock and ensure freshness and date codes.
• Communicate weekly with Sales Account Manager for guidance.
• Identify out-of-stocks and display opportunities.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM (May vary based on business needs)
• 100% Travel Required
• Territory: Interior BC (Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, Merritt, Penticton, South Okanogan)
• $50K to $60K Annually, Depending on Experience

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser, you will report to the Sales Account Manager. You will be working in our customer retail locations in the interior area of BC and be responsible for the maintenance and execution of our SmartStock Programs. Activities include but are not limited to tote to rack merchandising, display rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, rotating product, and overall merchandising services. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving the business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves. Cell phone and car allowance will be provided as well as coverage for expenses.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager.
• Communicating weekly with Sales Account Manager to gain updated guidance on program execution.
• Maintenance & execution of the SmartStock program (racks/plan-o-gram/ordering, merchandising activities.
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Educational
• Development (GED) certificate.
• Required to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (gas card will be provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle (snow tires may be required), and proper valid insurance.
• Must have valid insurance for work that meets minimum requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to use and understand store plan-o-gram and set instructions.
• Ability to learn how to operate a hand-held inventory control device, calculators, and computer.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook
