Job summary

Diasorin is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to service and support diagnostic instruments across Western Canada. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting and customer collaboration.

You will travel up to 80% of the time within Calgary, Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, ensuring GMP and safety compliance and contributing to patient care through reliable instrumentation. Competitive CAD salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Laboratory Technician or electronics/engineering equivalent required.
• 2+ years as biomedical equipment, electronics, or field service technician.
• Knowledge of basic immunology and immunoassay technology.
• Basic electronics knowledge and medical terminology.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance with manuals and minimal support.
• Ability to learn cGMP and GxP practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support for instrument maintenance and repair.
• Coordinate with Manager, Technical Service and Logistics on instrumentation.
• Maintain communications with customers, applications and sales teams.
• Assist with instrument installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrument hardware or software issues.
• Adhere to GMP, OSHA, EPA, NRC and FDA procedures.
