Job summary

Homes Alive Pets is seeking a Visual Merchandiser based in Edmonton with travel to at least two Edmonton-area stores and monthly travel to Winnipeg. You will create visually appealing product displays, monitor inventory, assist guests, and collaborate with marketing and store operations to meet seasonal promotions and customer patterns.

The role requires a keen eye for design, understanding of customer behavior, and the ability to develop compelling displays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail.
• Experience in merchandising or a related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Determine the best locations within each store to display products in accordance with our merchandising standards.
• Track sales reports to determine product popularity and implement changes to improve figures and customer engagement.
• Monitor discontinued or delisted products to ensure the shelves appear full.
• Plan and develop merchandising strategies/standards.
• Implement the setup of seasonal changeovers.
• Meet with the marketing and purchasing department to communicate problem areas and brainstorm new ideas for displays.
• Communicate visual standards and provide training to other store associates.
• Communicate with leaders on promotional displays and maintenance of merchandising standards.
