Bayshore HealthCare is hiring Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) to work in Canada's remote northern communities, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive support. Successful applicants will provide essential health care in a collaborative clinic setting, requiring quick decision-making and hands-on experience.
Are you seeking an exciting career experience as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) in Canada's remote northern communities of Manitoba? Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has provided high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), providing care to community members. We hire passionate team members from all over Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
The work you will do :
Paramedics will primarily work in clinic-based environments, performing an expanded role to provide primary and emergency care to residents—from newborns to elders—through a nursing station or health center in a clinic atmosphere.
Responsibilities include health promotion, assessments, support, and implementing care using best practice clinical guidelines; primary care and emergency care.
Work as part of a care team with nurses in a clinic setting, handling urgent and non-urgent walk-ins, similar to a walk-in clinic, as well as primary care follow-ups, akin to visiting your doctor for prescriptions, tests, or condition management. They also serve as the ER in communities without a dedicated emergency room.
Provide acute and primary care, requiring quick thinking and prioritization of patient needs. Since no physicians are on-site, candidates must be able to "hit the ground running".
