The First Nations Health Authority invites applications for the Registered Nurse, Primary Care Centre at Oyster Bay. This term position supports culturally safe, team-based primary care for First Nations communities on Vancouver Island with travel to Cortes Island.

Qualifications

• Completion of a BSN or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current practicing RN registration with BCCNM and CPR certification.
• Immunization certification (BCCDC) is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of recent primary care/public health experience with First Nations clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary care services to clients at all life stages.
• Observe, assess, monitor and document health progress for evidence-informed decisions.
• Promote a racism-free, culturally safe environment for clients and staff.
