Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in homelessness and support for vulnerable women
• Relevant degree such as Child and Youth Worker or Early Childhood Educator
• Adherence to highest ethical care and confidentiality policies
• Additional languages are an asset
• Understanding needs of diverse social groups including women experiencing homelessness

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and ensure safety and well-being of children and youth
• Maintain a structured, trauma-informed environment
• Facilitate structured skill-building and recreational activities
• Provide child-minding to support mothers pursuing goals
• Provide one-on-one support and mentorship
• Complete accurate daily documentation and reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support family goals
• Maintain professional communication with families and external stakeholders
• Support house routines and programming
• Participate in community outreach events
