Job summary

Hercules Crane & Lifting Supplies in Sydney, NS is seeking a Trap Builder to join the Spartan Industrial Marine branch on a temporary basis. You will work with wire and tools to cut, mend and assemble traps and assist with customer service.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, a Monday-to-Friday 8-5 schedule, and development opportunities, with emphasis on safety and quality control in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Trap Building an asset.
• Able to make basic math calculations.
• Repetitive motion of hand and wrists including gripping, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
• Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assemble traps as per specifications.
• Complete inspections on traps before sending to customers.
• Preparing packaging and verify all documents before sending completed orders to shipping.
• Follows Quality Control Procedures, as per ISO 9001:2000.
• Organizes, cleans, and ensures overall maintenance of the workspace.
• Performs general labour and/or maintenance work.
• Maintains an efficient production speed with minimal quality issues.
• Complies with all safety regulations.
