Job summary

Hercules SLR Inc. is seeking a Trap Builder to join the Spartan Industrial Marine branch in Sydney, NS. This temporary role involves working with wire and tools to cut, mend and assemble traps and also provide customer service.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a standard Monday–Friday schedule. Candidates must pass a background check and provide a driver’s abstract with minimal demerit points.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Trap Building is an asset.
• Able to make basic math calculations.
• Repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assemble traps according to specifications.
• Perform basic assembly, repair, and adjustments.
• Prepare packaging and verify documents before shipping.
• Conduct inspections and ensure quality control per ISO standards.
• Maintain workspace and follow safety regulations.
• Provide timely customer service as needed.

We are looking for a Trap builder to work in our Spartan Industrial Marine branch in Sydney, NS. This is a temporary position to provide coverage during an employee's absence. The Trap Builder will work with wire and tools to cut, mend and assemble traps as well as provide customer service.

Required knowledge and training

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Trap Building an asset
• Able to make basic math calculations
• Repetitive motion of hand and wrists including gripping, twisting, pulling, and pushing
• Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
