Job summary

PepsiCo Canada is seeking a Transportation Team Supervisor to oversee site traffic operations at its Cambridge and Toronto plants. You will lead daily transportation activities, coach frontline staff, and partner with warehouse, service, and sales to resolve issues and improve cost and service metrics.

You’ll drive safety and performance through planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement training, developing team capabilities while aligning with the Business Unit goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for logistics/operations.
  • 1–3 years supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, or operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to teach, organize, plan, and prioritize work; problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and technical support to the transportation team.
  • Lead daily transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and service performance.
  • Develop individuals and the team to solve routine and complex operational issues.
  • Motivate the team to achieve performance targets through coaching and training.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, service, and sales to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs including cost, asset utilization, inbound/outbound loads, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Support carrier relationships and freight-cost control initiatives through planning and execution.
  • Investigate outages and incidents and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Lead productivity projects for network efficiency and cost improvements.
  • Foster safety, accountability, teamwork, and discipline within the team.

This position requires flexible availability to work afternoon shift (Monday – Thursday, 2:00PM-11:00PM).

Toronto Plant

This position is on a Monday to Friday, day shift.

This role: The Transportation Team Supervisor takes part in setting the agenda and executing the strategy of the Business Unit and holds responsibility for all site Traffic operations for their assigned team. The Transportation Supervisor will also enable their teams to achieve the Business Unit expectations in our People, Quality, Service and Cost Key Performance Measures. You will interact and collaborate daily with people leaders on all different kinds of shifts in the plant, including Quality, Operations, Packaging, Traffic, Maintenance, and Sanitation Supervisors as you motivate and inspire your team, eliminate barriers, and problem solve. You will have the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up, and develop leadership skills by attending continuous improvement training with the goal of leading a front-line team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and technical support
  • Responsible for people and team development, leading and supervising daily transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and service performance
  • Develop individuals and the team to solve routine and complex operational issues
  • Motivate the team to achieve established performance targets by providing coaching and training
  • Collaborate with warehouse, service, and sales to resolve operational issues and drive improvements
  • Monitor key transportation KPIs, including cost, asset utilization, inbound & outbound loads, compliance metrics, and operational efficiency
  • Support with managing carrier relationships and freight cost control initiatives through effective planning and execution
  • Investigate service outages, transportation incidents, customer escalations, and implement corrective actions as required
  • Lead productivity projects focused on network efficiency and cost improvements
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational discipline within the transportation team
Qualifications

You have graduated with your bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026.

  • Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse, or Operations Preferred
  • 1-3 years’ Supervisory experience preferred
  • Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Experience in Coaching and Monitoring Performance of Others – Take Others With You
  • Able to Instruct and Teach Others
  • Skills in Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Capabilities
  • Knowledge of General Regulatory & Safety Processes and Procedures
