Job summary

Access Information Management is seeking a Transportation Specialist based in Halifax, NS. You will start each day at the records center, load your vehicle with confidential materials, and execute deliveries and pickups using wireless scanning while maintaining excellent client service.

You will end the day by returning to the center to finalize paperwork and participate in additional tasks assigned by your supervisor, contributing to a fast-growing, service-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Airbrake endorsement required.
• 1–2 years in warehouse/physical environment.
• 1–2 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicle with materials and prepare delivery paperwork.
• Travel to client locations, deliver and pick up documents and materials using wireless scanning.
• Return to records center and complete end-of-day paperwork.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Your Daily Responsibilities

• As a Transportation Specialist, you are the public face of Access Information Management.
• You start your day in the records center, loading your company vehicle of materials, recycling bins and/or boxes full of confidential documents, and preparing the necessary paperwork for your day’s deliveries.
• You spend most of your day on the road, going from client locations to client locations, delivering and/or picking up client documents and materials in using wireless scanning technology, interacting with the clients and making sure they are satisfied and well served.
• You return to the record center at the end of your day, unloading your company vehicle of materials, recycling bins and/or boxes full of confidential documents and completing the necessary paperwork for closing your day’s deliveries.
• You will perform any other tasks and projects assigned by your Supervisor.
• This position is based in Halifax, NS

More About You

• A valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Airbrake endorsement is required.
• The physical ability to lift boxes, recycling bins and materials weighing up to 60 pounds and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
• Travels required: 1-2 trips per month
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a warehouse/physical atmosphere
• At least 1 to 2 years of driving experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
