Job summary

Stantec is currently seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering MTO preliminary and detail design assignments in the Greater Toronto Area, with offices in Markham and Hamilton/Stoney Creek. You will report to the Department Manager and coordinate with clients and stakeholders while mentoring staff.

The role requires strong knowledge of MTO policies and experience in budgets, schedules, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Professional registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario.
• Minimum of 15 years of transportation engineering experience, focusing on preliminary and detail design.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Preparing and managing project budgets, work plans, and schedules.
• Communicating and liaising with MTO.
• Consulting with agencies, stakeholders and public.
• Overseeing complex evaluations of planning and design alternatives.
• Overseeing quality control of project deliverables.
• Staff development and mentoring.
• Supporting business development and proposal preparation.
