HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Canada to design highways and municipal roadways within HDR’s Transportation group. You will collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver safe, sustainable mobility solutions and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes design excellence, client engagement, and contributing to high-performance capital projects, while benefiting from HDR’s employee-owned culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and PE license required.
• 7+ years highway/municipal roadway design experience.
• Proficient with CAD software: Bentley and Autodesk suites.
• Experience engaging with external clients and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Ontario municipal/provincial clients.

Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, cross-sections, drainage, and related components.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and project managers.
• Assist in pursuit of opportunities and proposals.
• Prepare work plans and schedules with disciplines.
• Engage with external stakeholders and clients as needed.
