Stantec in Ontario is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Hamilton or London offices. You will assist in planning and design of provincial highways, interchanges, and local roads, working with a team of highway designers and gaining exposure to regulatory requirements.

Your tasks include developing alignments and profiles, conducting site investigations, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting project scheduling and multi-discipline coordination.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Knowledge of roadway/highway design guides such as TAC Geometric Design Guide
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Co-op or summer work-term experience is a plus
• Takes initiative and coordinates with team members

Responsabilidades

• Assist with planning and design of major provincial highways, interchanges, and local municipal roads
• Review relevant policies and perform technical analysis
• Prepare presentations for clients and write technical reports
• Conduct site investigations to understand existing conditions
• Develop alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and grading cross-sections
• Assist with proposals, project reporting and marketing efforts
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams and schedule projects
• Support public presentations and other duties as assigned
