Job summary

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) is advancing the Ontario Line project in Toronto, seeking an Electrical Design Coordinator to ensure electrical installations are constructible, code‑compliant, and well coordinated with construction teams and subcontractors.

You will interface between design, construction, and subcontractors, supporting design changes and technical assurance on site under the Electrical Design Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in detailed design of building and civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience in design teams or with external consultants.
• Proficient with Autodesk design tools (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360).

Responsibilities

• Procurement and Supplier Support: support procurement strategy, prepare technical tender docs, review supplier/subcontractor proposals, FAT procedures, purchase requisitions, NCRs, and track progress of scope of work.
• Post‑Design and Construction Stage Support: issue technical docs, review shop drawings, coordinate design changes (RFIs, FCRs, NCRs, NDCs), assist in shop drawings, review procedures, perform site visits, compile final handover docs.
• Quality: comply with policies, share feedback on non‑conformances, protect company reputation, adhere to privacy policies.
• Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): comply with safety rules, report hazards, promote 4R, conserve water and energy.
