Job summary

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) is seeking a Site Superintendent for the Ontario Line South Civil package in Toronto. You will oversee daily construction operations, coordinating internal crews and subcontractors to meet schedules, safety, and quality standards.

The role requires leadership, 5–7 years in civil construction supervisory work, and knowledge of tunneling, trackwork, and earthworks. OTG offers comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school diploma; a degree or diploma in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• Certifications such as First Aid/CPR and CSTS highly desirable.
• 5–7 years of civil construction supervisory experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience in structural steel erection and knowledge of civil methods.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with tunneling, trackwork, earthworks and utility relocation is an asset.
• Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to self-performing crews and subcontractors to meet project goals.
• Oversee daily on-site activities ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Develop and refine construction schedules with project teams to achieve milestones.
• Maintain accurate daily records and report progress to leadership.
• Control costs and monitor changes to manage budget effectively.
