Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Designer - Cable Routing and Low-Voltage Systems to join our multidisciplinary engineering team in Canada. You will design cable routing networks for electrical, telecommunications, and signaling systems, and develop 2D/3D BIM models to support project delivery.

You will collaborate with track, civil, structural, architectural, drainage, and systems disciplines, participate in site surveys, analyze constraints, and prepare technical documentation for design and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Member of OIQ or eligible for membership.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or transportation infrastructure design, including conduit networks and cable routing.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM environments.
Fluent in French or English.

Responsibilities

Design cable routing networks for electrical, telecom, and signaling systems.
Develop layouts for conduits, trenches, duct banks, pull chambers, and cable trays.
Produce plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details.
Develop 2D and 3D BIM models and verify compliance with standards.
Coordinate with track, civil, structural, architectural, drainage, and systems disciplines.
Participate in technical site surveys and analysis of site constraints.
Provide technical support to project teams during design and construction.
