Job summary

City of Burlington seeks a 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on transit coaches and support fleet. You will report to the Transit Maintenance Manager and handle electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in a safety-conscious, policy-driven environment.

Required are a 310T certificate, a valid Class G license with a clean abstract (Ontario B with Z endorsement acceptable), and a complete set of hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid 310T Truck and Coach Mechanics Certificate.
• Valid Class G license with acceptable abstract (or Ontario B with Z endorsement).
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and read wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on transit coaches and related fleet.
• Inspect vehicles, diagnose issues and complete repairs to policy standards.
• Provide a complete set of hand tools and toolbox; work 40 hours/week, including shifts.
